This refreshing smoothie is a delicious and easy way to get the vitamins, minerals and antioxidants your body needs. During a flare-up, consider decreasing or skipping the agave nectar. And if you’re sensitive to seeded fruits, use caution when adding the strawberries and blackberries. If you can’t find beet juice, a great substitution is equal parts cranberry and orange juice.

Yields: 6 servings

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup non-fat yogurt

  • 1 cup frozen strawberries

  • 1 cup frozen cherries

  • 1 cup blackberries

  • 1 cup beet juice

  • 2 tablespoons agave nectar

  • 1 1/2 cups ice

  • 2 tablespoons crystalized ginger

Method of Preparation:

1. Puree the ingredients together in a blender and puree until smooth.

2. Serve in frozen glasses and garnish with additional frozen fruits if desired.
